Outstanding! Mark Smith's Metal Detecting has it all covered. Equipment, research, identifying your finds, to clean or not to clean, great references to websites and groups full of additional information, detecting tips in all environments, great advice as to where to hunt for coins, jewelry, gold and relics. He even does a great job covering gold prospecting. There is a wealth of information in this book. It's an easy read that will leave you wishing there was more when it is over. I felt like I was on a journey with a good friend who was trying to give me his best advice. I visited every website he references in this guide, I also looked up the many other references he recommends that will greatly aid you. Every one of them were very informative and helpful. I even took him up on his advice about checking out my local historical society. I'm now a member and have access to historical maps of my local area. Pleasantly written and very informative.

probably one of my favorite books written by Mark. it covers space treasure aka meteorites. I know most books do not cover that. it covers many areas that other books I have covers. I would recommend to any beginners to expert detectorists.

I almost did not buy the book because it only had 20 reviews, even though they were all good. I am glad I read it! More content and detail than I expected. A good read filled with great tips and information (and humor along the way). This is the first book on the subject that I have read, I can’t imagine another being equal or better. There are probably so few reviews because those that have read the book don’t want others to find out the secrets they learned...just my guess. It contained a lot of information that probably took a lifetime to gain.

This is not a comprehensive book but this will get you started. Covers the different forms of metal hunting and has some great tips and illustrations.

Wow...I am ready to put my machine together and get started. I wanted to read this first to be sure I was ready. I have a feeling I will be returning to this book over and over again.

A lot of these Little Golden Books that are based on movies suffer, because they take a 2 hour movie and try (usually not very successfully) to condense it into a much shorter book. This one is an original (I think?) story featuring all of your child's favorite Toy Story characters. The story is cute and engaging and my son loves hearing it. A winner!

This book was perfect for my little gymnast. She is a kindergartner who loves Barbie and her weekly gymnastics class. The super simple sentences and small words really helped us practice her sight words. There were a few sentences she could even read by herself. For the price, it was almost too perfect.

My daughter likes this book because she loves barbies and gymnastics. I wouldn't call it a level 1 reading book though. Its a lot harder for my daughter to read than her level 1 books from school.

My five year old is a huge Barbie fan and she loves gymnastics so this purchase was a no brainer. We have been building our Step into Reading collection since these books are great for her to practice reading. Highly recommend.

My great-granddaughter is a beginning reader and I added this book, of this series for her to enjoy. She has the Teacher Barbie, Pet Vet Barbie, Ice Skating Barbie and now this book. She is a perfect age of 5 for doing this reading by herself. It seems to be vey high interest for her.

This definitely isn’t a book for level one - great if your child loves anything Barbie : but there aren’t enough sight words for the kids to practice. But happy enough as my kid still wants to try

My 3 year old son loves Toy Story, and anything Toy Story related. He especially likes Rex (he's a dinosaur fanatic) so this book was perfect for him since it stars Rex. The art is beautiful, lots of vibrant colors, and includes the "sound effects" in text form using a font that helps indicate what it would sound like. My son loves this part because he likes to add the sounds while we read the book.

I purchased this book for my gymnastics loving almost 7 year old. She absolutely loves it! Cute fun pics and easy to read for your level.

This was technically a re-read for me, but since the first time I read this book was in seventh grade (that's about six years ago) it was like reading it for the first time. The only thing I remembered was that I liked it a lot, and that the satyrs were funny. Neither of those facts changed.Fablehaven is about Kendra and Seth, a brother and sister who go to stay part of the summer with their rather reclusive grandfather (they're grandmother is mysteriously absent). While there they discover that not all is what it seems and that they're grandparents run a place called Fablehaven- a haven for the magical creatures. Very few things there are safe, and Kendra and Seth have a lot to learn if they're ever going to be the caretakers.This is one of those books I think everyone should read. I know it's a middle grade book, but like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson it is just as enjoyable for older readers. For one, it doesn't "talk down" to the readers. It treats everyone like a knowledgable reader and the mystery and plot have enough twists and turns for anyone to enjoy. It kept me on the edge of my seat. It also completely transported me to the world of Fablehaven, and the setting was so pervasive I found myself daydreaming about it in my spare time.A major plus for this book was the two main characters. While Kendra is the protagonist for most of the story, Seth does get a bit of spotlight. They're both super realistic, actually acting their age (she's in eighth grade, he's in sixth) in many ways without being too immature. I will admit that Seth did become a bit annoying, since he causes quite a few problems, but I'm fairly certain this will allow readers to really watch him grow up over the course of the series. The best part about them was their relationship- they acted like real siblings! I cannot count the number of times I've found a sibling relationship to so closely mirror the one I have with my brother. It was so refreshing to see the regular bickering and teasing without making either of them seem like a brat. It also allowed me to connect a ton with Kendra, who's a very likable heroine.So I'd definitely recommend this to everyone. It's perfect for fans of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, for sure. It's really just one of the best middle grade novels I've read in a while, and I can't wait to read many, many more in this series (which has, thankfully, been completed so I won't have to wait between novels).

Kendra and Seth must spend a week with their grandparents when Mom and Dad are called away unexpectedly. They do not know these grandparents very well and the kids are beyond annoyed that they are being left with them. The house is beautiful and the yard is amazing, but there is something strange about this place. The kids learn that they are spending this week on one of the most important preserves for magical creatures and their grandfather is the caretaker. In the woods beyond the yard live creatures great and small, good and evil. After a series of dangerous events, Kendra and Seth need to take chances on which creatures they can trust to help them while avoiding those that will hurt them.I absolutely love to drift off into a world of young-adult, fantasy fiction from time to time. They are the perfect remedy after a long, drawn-out read. It is hard to find a series that has a good balance of worthwhile writing and youthful creativity. I was directed to Fablehaven awhile back, but had my doubts. Once I finally got started, I flew through the book and was entertained throughout (I did take one exception with the constant and blatant disregard for authority from Seth, but I see it was necessary to move the story along). I am excited about this magical world created by Brandon Mull. I do not like to read any series back-to-back, but I look forward to reading book 2 soon.

Fablehaven is one of my favorite fantasy series and as such I was eager to take a look at this activity book related to the series. The book does not disappoint. The book is full of secret codes, recipes to try out, and your own preserve to create. Readers who enjoy interactive books that inspire imaginative play are bound to enjoy this book. Writing, drawing, coloring, designing, and word games punctuate this fun book. Hours of creative enjoyment are contained in this book. The sheer variety of different activities and games makes this a great book for both individual and group activities. One could even use the book to set up a Fablehaven party to celebrate the series or the upcoming sequel series that comes out in March 2017. If you have a Fablehaven lover in your house, this book is a must.

This book was one of my favorite books. The author is Brandon Mull. If you have ever read any of his other series you will love this one😃!I would have given it a 4 ½ star rating if that was how this was set up. My least favorite part was that the cover looks different than the scene in the book that it comes from.I did say that I liked it though, and I do. It was funny and explains Kendra and Seth’s relationship as sister and brother really well👍. It was fun to find all of the little connections to the Five Kingdoms.I recommend that you read his series in the order of Beyonders, Five Kingdoms, Fablehaven, then Dragonwatch to fully appreciate the connections. Also, after reading Fablehaven(book 1) flip to the back of the last page and scan over it😉. I’d say the funniest thing in the book was when they had to give a cave troll a massage in exchange for information, and I’d better not say what the most exciting part is😏.I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mythical creatures, adventures, thrilling tales, mysteries, or, as I already said, other series by Brandon Mull.

Not marks or bends on the cover, and not even a highlight on the inside!The book itself is simple. We have plowed through the entire book in 4 weeks to gain a foundation in PR. It's a great "starter book," gives great examples that help smooth the transition from classroom to real world.

I needed this for a 400 level PR class. We used it sometimes.

I like the emphasis on budgeting. It was clear and concise. I have never seems another book better prepared you for a path in public Relations

These two cookbooks, one by Laurel Stevenson and one by Laurel Sanchez are essentially the same book! Both badly translated from some foreign language with bad syntax, inexplicable punctuation, and annoying directions. I guess I'll make the best of it and try to figure out what they're talking about. Really annoyed that they were featured together.

Thank goodness I only paid for the kindle version. Very little info, reads as if it's a bad translation from some other language. In some recipes, listed ingredients are not used in the directions, but other ingredients are used instead. No idea when it say 4 fish fillets, or two very large fillets, what size they should be - 4 ounces each, 6, 8? Fishes are different sizes, large relative to what? Very badly written and organized book. Wish I could return it.

My husband purchased this for my birthday after I requested a cookbook specifically for the mini Instant Pot. Lots of interesting recipes, but of the 4 recipes I've tried thus far, 3 have had rather significant errors, including incorrect cooking time, failure to prompt the inclusion of liquid in the instant pot, and a cake that produced way too much batter for any pan that would actually fit in the mini.At the very least, poor editing . . . and certainly not "foolproof" recipes.

HIRE AN EDITOR!!! Embarrassingly poor translation (?) - or just bad grammar? Hard to say - and hard to read. Recipes are strange and many are difficult to follow. Mashed potatoes are a breakfast food? Not keeping this book!

This book is OUTSTANDING. I just purchased am Instant Pot Mini (3 quart) and had a difficult time finding recipes for this sized pot. This book not only has the recipes I wanted, but the directions are very easy for a "newbie" to follow. My interest in using this is for Steaming vegetables, Cooking Beans and making soups. This book has everything I need to do that and is written for the size Instant Pot that I have. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I bought the Kindle version and when I opened it...I was so happy with the recipes and especially how well written and easy to follow the directions are! Well Done!
